3 REASONS TO TOUR

1. SPEND SOME TIME AND SEE THE SCHOOL FACILITIES & EQUIPMENT
  • One of the most important reasons to tour a school is that you get to see the facility and all it has to offer first-hand. You’ve probably spent a good amount of time researching other surrounding schools and looking at photos and videos, but stepping into the actual building for yourself is an entirely different experience. You’ll get to walk through the classrooms your child will be learning in, see some of the equipment they'll be working with, and experience the overall “feel” of the school.
  • But that’s not the only benefit. When you visit a college campus, you usually set up a tour that gives you the opportunity to walk through all of the important buildings and areas on campus. Outside of this tour, you can explore the city or town that surrounds the campus on your own. Ultimately, you are going to college to get an education and learn a particular skill set, but college isn’t all study all the time.

2. YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK EVERY QUESTION YOU HAVE
  • You most likely have a plethora of questions about the school that a standard website “FAQ” can’t answer. Because your questions will probably be on a variety of different topics, one person might not be able to answer all of them. Visiting a school for yourself eliminates any misconceptions.

3. YOU GET TO MEET STAFF MEMBERS AND CURRENT STUDENTS
  • Most school visits include meeting certain staff members and students as a part of the official schedule, however, if you are interested in a specific program, it is always a good idea to schedule a meeting with a teacher from that department. This will allow you to ask any program specific questions you may have. It will also give you some insight into how the faculty operates and how your program of interest is run.
